BRIGHT IDEAS, an award-winning film culture print magazine dedicated to the young geniuses and old troublemakers of cinema.
Driven by bold design, narrative photography, incisive journalism, and experimental essays, BRIGHT IDEAS reports on the most forward-thinking contemporary moving pictures, and strives to shape the cultural conversation about truly independent film.
As creative director, I oversaw all art direction and photography, and conceptualized each issue with our editor-in-chief. I also did all layout and design personally.
“Art, to paraphrase Crane, is the bullet of democracy, and the press the powder. One man with a gun is nothing compared to the well-told story of the man he kills.”
The magazine is distributed at every major North American film festival, the Ace, MOMA, and other choice retailers and newsstands around the US.
